Drywall quantity starts with wall area: room perimeter times ceiling height, minus doors and windows. This preset is a 12 by 12 ft room with 8 ft ceilings and one door and one window in the math.

Sheets round up to whole 4×8 panels (32 sq ft each) with 10% waste. Joint compound, tape, and screws scale with sheet count.
